Focus on one road map to building an online business
Hello All,
Is you head spinning with all the opportunities that are available to building a business on the internet? If you are like 99% of us, the answer is yes. What is the other 1% of the internet population doing? They are focused on one direction and making lots of money.
You may have heard that 99% of people trying to make money on the internet fail! The reason they fail is do to false expectations and lack of organization. Most people think they can pop on the internet, set up a site or blog and start making lots of money. Let me ask you something, would you buy from someone that is new on the internet and hasn’t built-up a reputation? Most likely you wouldn’t, you may watch that site over time and revisit it for new content. At some point you would feel comfortable and buy from them.
I know it gets very confusing reading those product launches they may say something like “Newbie makes $48K in the first month using Clickbank and PPC”. While this is factual advertising, they don’t tell you the $48K is a gross figure and they spent $24K in PPC expenses. The results are still outstanding with a net profit of $24K, but most beginners don’t have $24K to invest initially. So what do you do? Most people get discouraged. But I don’t, I take the product and use the training tools to start building a business on a lesser scale. Most of these product launches have great training tools at a reasonable price, unfortunately the product is hyped up so much that majority of the people can’t even come close to the same income results.
So how do you get you head from stop spinning and start focusing on one direction? You need to pick a business model and stick with it until you’re making money and have fully mastered the technique. For example, if you want to make money through ebay, you first build your knowledge through several programs and then begin making money. After you have mastered this income stream, you can either scale up this business or branch out to another business model.
Lesson learned today:
- Be focused on one business model
- Have realistic expectations
- Build a foundation before expecting results
- Be organized, plan out your day, week, month and year
Stay tuned for further discussion on building a business on the internet and along with giving reviews and recommendations on certain programs and products to assist with being successful. Don’t be shocked to find my blog appearance changing over the next few month’s, I am continually looking for improvement.
To your success…..
Richard

Hi Richard,
I’m hoping to be in that 1% that makes money and hopefully what Alex Jeffreys teaches us is how to build a business rather than a get rich quick scheme.
So I totally agree with you, the priority is to deveop a plan that will put all the pieces of an automated on-line business together.
Nobody said it was easy!
Hope to help you sometime

Hi Richard,
All pretty sound advice here. I read a few of your posts.
Can I just say one thing though?
See your sub-title up there?
“There is only one crooke online I know that gives more than he takes.”
Now, I remember we were dicussing this in the MWA2.0 forum – not just you and me but a whole bunch of us. It’s catchy and memorable. However, I had to read it several times to get it to make sense. Sorry if you think I am being a nit-picker here or a wally-two-d*cks (Aussie term for something rather unsavoury – LOL) but…
… I think it would flow a whole lot better if it read this way…
“There is only one crooke online who I know that gives more than he takes.”
Or, maybe even better…
“There’s only ONE crooke online who GIVES more than he takes and now you’ve FOUND him!”
I suppose it would be difficult to change that header now but whaddya reckon? If you think I’m talkin out my rear end then that’s OK. LOL!

Hi Richard
Yes your right it is better to stick to one business model, get that going and then move on to the next one. Its important to set deliverable goals and follow threw with them, if you dont have set goals your directionless, as I have found out recently
